Pool-surround landscaping is everything around the water: coping, decking, plantings, shade, and lighting. The pool shell itself is a separate trade (C-53 pool contractor) and is not in our scope — but everything between the pool's edge and your fence line is.
For new pool builds, the landscape scope is what turns a concrete rectangle into a resort-style backyard. For existing pools, the most common reasons to call: the original sod has died and needs replacement (or conversion to artificial turf), the paver deck is wobbling or stained, or the shade structure that used to cover the loungers is gone and the deck is unusable from noon to 4pm in summer.
Good pool-surround work accounts for pool chemistry (chlorine and salt both affect plant choice and paver joint material), reflected heat off the deck (fabric choice on shade elements matters), and drainage (never toward the pool, never pooling around the deck).
