Shade trees need selective pruning every 1–3 years. Vegas palms need annual "skinning" in spring — dead fronds, seed pods, safe height. Done by a licensed partner with the C-25 tree-care endorsement.

Tree and palm trimming is recurring yard care for Vegas homeowners with mature plantings. Shade trees (Chinese elm, African sumac, Chilean mesquite, desert willow) need selective pruning every 1–3 years to stay shaped and healthy. Palms (Mexican fan, date palm, queen palm) need annual skinning in spring — dead fronds and seed pods removed — to look right and stay safe.
Two things matter: licensing and safety. Nevada requires C-10 contractors performing tree work to carry either the C-25 tree-care endorsement or a certified arborist on staff. And palm skinning on palms taller than about 15 feet is a real source of serious injury — fall-from-palm injuries show up in Vegas emergency rooms every spring. A licensed pro with proper gear handles it safely; a homeowner with a ladder and a chainsaw is rolling dice.
Bad pruning — especially "topping" trees or over-thinning palms to a single-ring of fronds ("hurricane cut") — damages trees long-term. A partner with arborist training doesn't do that, because it kills the trees over the following 2–5 years.
Typical timeline: Typically completed in one visit (half day for most residential lots).
Range drivers: tree count, tree size, palm height (taller palms cost more because of rigging), and debris volume. Your partner quotes the actual number after the site visit — Mojave Match doesn't set or guarantee install pricing.
Every partner holds an active Nevada State Contractors Board C-10 license in good standing. License numbers appear on partner profile pages.
All partners operate out of Clark County — Las Vegas, Henderson, or Summerlin — so they know the HOA, the caliche, and the install conditions.
Mojave Match is a marketing and referral service, not a landscape contractor. You pay the partner directly for any work.
